Hope you don’t mind if we brag just a little. A full line catalog we recently UV printed for Brizo won The Printing Industry of Illinois/Indiana Association* (PII) Best of category and Best of division in the 8th Annual Pinnacle Print Awards Gala and went on to national competition. The Brizo catalog won Best of Show in the national category!
As a locally owned and operated commercial printing company in Indianapolis, Indiana, we’re proud of this accomplishment, and excited about winning a national competition. But we were exceptionally pleased by what the judges had to say about our catalog entry.
“Silver and grey colors are difficult to match and they are excellent in this book.”
So very true! And a color printing challenge HPG has made it our business to perfect. “That was great for us to hear, considering how much emphasis we have put into color calibration and standardization this past year,” stated Lynn Kendall, HPG Account Executive for Brizo. “It seems we’re not the only ones who think that our advances in color management are setting the bar for our industry.”
Since “every picture speaks 1,000 words,” it is important to us that our colors are sharp and as realistic as possible. Even when working with difficult to register metallic tones like gold, bronze, silver, and grey. We test and retest until we get the colors right. Not to win awards, but to assure the completed piece does the best job it can to convey its purpose and abilities to you, the consumer.
