Three years ago, HPG decided to get involved with Indy Homeless Connect by becoming a donation spot for books, socks, and monetary funds for the organization. After being involved in just a few community outreach programs, volunteers from HPG came back fully engaged in the mission of Indy Homeless Connect, bowled over by the enormity of the homeless situation in Indy, and ready to expand our support of the organization.
From that moment, HPG was committed to the cause of helping the homeless. More HPG employees began generously contributing their time, energy and contributions to the organization, serving the needs at the Indy Homeless Connect each year. HPG was happy to honor our employee dedication with paid time toward this work in addition to making significant in-kind and monetary contributions to benefit the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention (CHIP).

Recently, HPG was honored to accept the Blue Print Champion Corporation Award from CHIP. The award was given for our corporate giving, both financial and through the donation of volunteer (employee) hours. Christy Shepard, CHIP Board member and former HPG employee, presented the honor to David Harding and Bob Poorman at an awards ceremony also attended by many HPG employees.
HPG is proud to employ 150 full time staff, all of whom have fully embraced our Corporate Purpose, “To make a meaningful difference in the lives of our employees.” This simple purpose statement is posted in our lobby, where we can all be reminded of the commitment to each other and our community as we pass by each day. The HPG team is pleased to support over 30 nonprofit organizations annually and continually encourages our employees to participate and support causes that are important to them – because we firmly believe the active support of our community helps us all.
