It’s an annual welcome to summer event for the staff of HPG. A celebration that has become a 10+ year signature employees only event for us, some call it a 500 Race Party, to others, it’s our Summer Kick-off. Either way, our team knows how to throw – and enjoy – this tribute to good weather, good times and good people.
Thursday May 24th we began by getting all our business done in the morning. Once we settled in for a tasty barbeque and pitch in lunch, all thoughts of work were history. Lunch was followed in short order by a corn hole tournament, tricycle races, and a water balloon toss. We also give away a variety of prizes, gift cards and medals for employee accomplishments.
By far our most popular event is the HPG dunk tank. Each year we offer $1 softballs to dunk our Chief operating officer, VP of sales, Press room manager, Scheduler… and anyone else we can rope into sitting on the “wet seat.” Always a fundraiser for a worthy Indianapolis nonprofit group, this year’s dunk tank helped raise funds for Riley Children’s Hospital.
We work hard together all year. In the spirit of camaraderie and teamwork, we enjoy spending a day together enjoying the sun, the fun and good food. Here’s to the HPG family of exceptional employees!
