Every summer, HardingPoorman Group has a golf outing for staff members. This year as one of the door prizes, we gave away a package to the Brickyard for a foursome to play and enjoy a few very special benefits particular to the this famous course.
Our winners were Jake Hayes, Nat Metz, Tom Pinnick, and Adam Shepard. These four staff members found a day that worked with their schedules, and went out to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Brickyard.
Designed by Pete Dye, the Brickyard golf course is ranked one of the top US courses. And of course, it’s most famous because the course lies completely inside the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The day began with lunch at the Brickyard Crossing restaurant, followed by a ride around the famous Indy track, and then – 18 holes of golf. According to Adam Shepard, “We all had a great day together. The weather cooperated and as soon as we were done with our lunch the sky was turning blue just in time to speed around the track at 100 mph. That was a great experience! After we gathered our composure, we hit the golf course and played 18 fabulous holes. The IMS was a very gracious host, keeping the Pagoda open for us after golf so we could go tour the Pagoda. What a fabulous day!”
All four said it was a day that will be remembered forever and were grateful for the opportunity to represent their company while having a fantastic day at the ‘Speedway.’
