And the Oscar goes to…. benefit United Way!

What could be better than watching the Oscars together with a group of your friends? United Way and Citizens Energy Group has the answer: The Oscar.

Dress up and spend the evening watching the Oscars with your friends on oversized screens, eat, drink, mingle, play games, and bid on items during our silent auction. The best part about the night is that all proceeds benefit United Way’s Education Priority.

Presented by Citizens Energy Group, The Oscar Experience is now an annual fundraising event put together by United Way’s Emerging Leaders event committee. Last year’s event raised over $65,000. This year is expected to draw even more attendees. Circus-themed, and inspired by the movie, Water for Elephants, “Big Night under the Big Top,” and will be held Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Mavris Arts and Event Center.

This year’s Oscar Experience will include all the flourishes you’d expect when attending a circus. Look forward to bearded ladies, midway games, circus-inspired food and a whole host of other surprises that culminate in watching the 85th Academy Awards.

It’s a great way to benefit a good cause, and have fun. Advance tickets may be purchased at www.uwci.org/Oscars.
