Tom is our Purchasing Agent.
Tom spends his day making sure all the materials we need are here when we need them.
His team says that one of his most used quotes is “Yeah Baby!” from Austin Powers.
His job sounds pretty simple, right? Well, it is slightly more involved then we are letting on. Not only does Tom need to make sure that all materials are here on time, he also needs to make sure we are getting the best pricing and services from our vendors as possible. When you take into account that we process about 10,000 jobs annually, this takes a lot of organization.
When Tom is not saving us money, he loves spending time with is 6 year old grandson Brent. They especially love playing together in the snow!
On a recent job, Tom had the paper mill make a special size paper that fit the job perfectly. This paper savings vs. a standard sheet size was over $8,000 for this one project alone. “Yeah Baby!”
